Dashboard KPIs

The Dashboard KPIs are shown either for All interviewers along with averages Or for the specific interviewer, with a daily breakdown.

Each metric has 2 tabs KPI, shows a graphical view.

Data shows the tabular data.

Average Interview Length (Minutes)

Measures the average of the interview length for a project/organization.

Average Time Between Interviews (Minutes)

Measures the average time between interviews for a project/organization.

Average Interview Count

Measures the average count of interviews across a project/organization.

Average Attempts per Completed Interview

Measures the average number of attempts required to complete an interview.

• This metric is primarily used in tracking studies where interviewers may need to revisit a location multiple times before successfully completing an interview, for example when no respondent is available during the initial visit.

  The value is typically set by the survey script using the following function:

  SetInterviewExtraField(eInterviewExtraField.AttemptsPerCompletedInterview, val);

  Where val represents the number of attempts required to complete the interview

% interviews Completed First Attempt

Measures the % of interviews completed at first attempt, this is a derivative calculation from 'Attempts per Completed Interview'.

Average Workday Length (Hours)

Measures the average of the hours your surveyors workday, calculated by the start of the first interview of the day and the end time of the last interview of the day.

% Active Interview Time

Measures the % of active time spent on interviews, calculated as the % of net duration from the total duration.

Interview Completion per Hour

Measures the number of interviews completed per hour by each surveyor.

% Adherence To Methodology

Adherence To Methodology is a True/False metric that indicates whether an interview was conducted according to the rules and methodology defined by the organization.

This value is typically set automatically by the survey script based on predefined business rules, quality requirements, or fieldwork criteria.

Once configured, SurveyToGo can identify which interviews complied with the methodology and provide visibility into adherence rates across the project.

Setting the Adherence Value

Use the following function to set the interview's Adherence To Methodology status:

SetInterviewExtraField(eInterviewExtraField.AdherenceToMethodology, val);

Parameters

• val – A Boolean value:

  • true = The interview adheres to the defined methodology.

  • false = The interview does not adhere to the defined methodology.

Example

SetInterviewExtraField(
    eInterviewExtraField.AdherenceToMethodology,
    true
);

This marks the interview as compliant with the project's methodology.

When to Set the Value

The function should be called after all relevant conditions have been evaluated.

Typical locations include:

• The End Script of the final survey question.

• The End Script of a chapter that determines compliance.

• Any point in the survey where adherence can be conclusively determined.

Reporting and Analysis

Once the Adherence To Methodology field is populated, it can be used to:

• Identify interviews that complied with project requirements.

• Track adherence rates across surveyors, teams, or projects.

• Filter interviews during quality control reviews.

• Generate reports on methodological compliance.

This provides an additional quality assurance metric that can help monitor fieldwork performance and ensure interviews are conducted according to project standards.

% Interviews with GPS location information

Measures the percentage of interviews with captured GPS location information by surveyor.

% Silent Voice Recording

Measures the % of interviews with Recording/without recording per surveyor

%Interviews overusing an answer code

Measures the percentage of interviews in which a surveyor overused a specific answer code.
