How to Get Device Display Information

Overview

In some scenarios, you may need to retrieve information about the display of the device running the interview.

For example, if you maintain multiple versions of the same image in different sizes, you may want to display the version that best matches the device's screen dimensions.

SurveyToGo provides the DisplayInfo property for this purpose.

Available Display Information

The DisplayInfo object exposes the following properties:

• WidthPixels – Screen width in pixels.

• HeightPixels – Screen height in pixels.

• DiagonalInches – Screen size measured diagonally in inches.

These values can be accessed directly from your survey scripts.

Example

The following code displays the device's screen width in a popup message:

Prompt(DisplayInfo.WidthPixels);

When the survey runs on a device, the popup will display the screen width in pixels.

You can use the information provided by DisplayInfo to dynamically adjust images, layouts, or other survey content based on the device's display characteristics.
