Manage Presentations

Overview

A presentation in SharpCloud is a dynamic, interactive, step-by-step journey through a story, displaying views and panels in a predefined order. Presentations can be used to communicate key messages to different audiences, support meetings, or guide users through specific scenarios.

Multiple presentations can be created within a single story, each tailored for a different purpose. Once created, presentations can be played by any user with access to the story.

Presentations automatically reflect any updates made to the underlying data. Slides remain interactive during playback, allowing users to explore items, adjust views, and navigate outside the presentation if needed.

Accessing Manage Presentations

To manage presentations, open the Story Setup menu and select Manage Presentations.

Two methods are available to create a presentation:

• Create a new presentation using Add Presentation

• Import a presentation from an existing PDF (each page becomes a slide)

Adding a New Presentation

When creating a new presentation, the following properties are available:

• Name – The title displayed on the main toolbar

• Description – Optional summary to describe the presentation

• Owner – The user who created the presentation

• #Slides – Total number of slides in the presentation

• Default – Prompts users to play the presentation when entering the story

• Edit – Opens the presentation editor toolbar

• Copy – Creates a duplicate of the presentation

• Copy URL – Copies a direct link to the presentation

• Delete – Removes the presentation

Note: If created from a PDF, the number of slides matches the number of pages.

Saving Changes

To save changes, select OK. Closing the dialog using Cancel or the X will discard changes.

Editing a Presentation
