License Types

 

Overview

SharpCloud has 3 license types available for different requirements of organisations.

• Creator License – Allows the license holder to create and share their stories or collaborate on stories that have been shared with them.
• Collaborator License – For individuals that are responsible for the item information in a story.
  • Collaborators can create and edit items within their SharpCloud stories.
• Read-Only License – For individuals that only need to see the story as created and maintained by other users.
  • Read-Only users can view and interact with stories made available to them and write comments.

With the 3 license types, there is differing levels of functionality to be made aware of. This is summarised in the following matrix:

* - Settings will need to be configured by the story owner to allow the functionality.

† - For on-premise/private cloud installations, there will be configuration settings required to be activated to allow users access to the SharpCloud Academy.

With various license types, there are several ways of being able to share a story.

1. Direct Sharing – Available for Creators.
2. Publishing to a SharpCloud Directory – Accessibility to Creators and Collaborators.
3. Publishing the story via a Public URL – Accessibility to anyone who has access to the URL.
