Function UNION()

 

Description
Returns unique values from two arrays, removing duplicates.

Syntax

UNION(array1, array2)

Parameters

• array1 – First array (text, number, or date)
• array2 – Second array (same data type as array1)

Return Value
ARRAY (same type as input)

 

Examples

Formula

UNION([1,2,3], [2,4])

Result
[1,2,3,4]

Formula

UNION([1,1,2,3], [2,4])

Result
[1,2,3,4]

Formula

UNION(['a','b','c'], ['d','e'])

Result
['a','b','c','d','e']

Result
[1,2,3]

Notes

• Removes duplicate values
• Arrays must be the same data type
