Function SUBSTR()

 

Description
Returns a specified portion of a string based on position and length (zero-based indexing).

Syntax

SUBSTR(string, position, length)

Parameters

• string – The text to extract from
• position – Start position (zero-based)
• length – Number of characters to return

Return Value
TEXT

• Position is zero-based
• Length can exceed remaining string to return all remaining text
