The Detailed Statistics Window in @RISK

Setting Targets

In Application Settings > Windows, edit Detailed Stats Window Targets.

Enter up to 10 percentiles (e.g., 1, 2.5, 97.5, 99). They’ll appear in Detailed Statistics views and reports.

 

The Default Significant Digit Setting

@RISK rounds displayed statistics after performing the calculations in full double precision because extra digits are rarely meaningful in stochastic results.

If you require full double precision, use functions like RiskMean() and RiskStdDev() in cells or macros.

 

Detailed Statistic Sheets (Live and Static)

There are two Detailed Statistics sheets in @RISK:

1. The Detailed Statistics report, which is prepared as an Excel worksheet
2. The Detailed Statistics window, which is part of @RISK.

Only the @RISK window is "live"/dynamic:

• • When you enter an X or a P, the other member of the pair changes automatically.

The report in Excel is static and does not update.

 

Columns and Rows Transposed of in the Details Statistics Report

There is an internal limit of 256 columns for this report in Excel.

If you have more than 256 outputs and inputs in your data, @RISK pivots (transposes) the report.

If you have under 256 outputs and you don't actually need inputs collected:

• If you're not planning to do sensitivity analysis:
  • Open Simulation Settings, and on the Sampling tab change "Collect Distribution Samples" to None.
