How to License the Application

Applies to: Risk Controller 6 and Higher

 

Overview

Predict! Risk Controller must be licensed before multiple users can connect. Licensing is performed by the ADMIN user via the Admin Portal after installation is complete.

 

What to Have Ready

• The serial number from the Predict! installation disk or covering letter
• The name of the application server hosting Predict!
• A .lic licence file (if one has been provided)

 

Applying a Licence

1. Log in to Predict! Risk Controller as ADMIN.
2. Navigate to the Admin Portal and select Licences from the Usage section.
3. Contact Risk Decisions to receive the licence key. Provide the serial number and application server name.
4. Enter the licence information in the Licences screen and click License.
5. Alternatively, if a .lic file has been provided, click Import and select the file.

Notes: 

For load-balanced installations using two servers:

1. Enter both hostnames separated by a semicolon in the hostname field (e.g. myserver;server2). 
2. Inform Lumivero of this when requesting the licence.

If licensing for a single PRC and PRA, the system automatically assigns the licences to the ADMIN user.

 

Applying a New Licence to an Existing Installation

• Ensure all users are logged out of Predict! before removing the existing licence, as removing it will end active sessions.
• Follow the steps in the previous section to apply the new licence.

 

Troubleshooting

• If the licence screen shows no value:
  • The application has not yet been licensed. Proceed with the steps above.
• If the licence import fails:
  • Confirm the .lic file matches the server name and serial number. Submit a Support form from the Lumivero Community Support Page if the issue persists.
