Asked to Enter Username Manually

Overview

Under normal conditions, PRA authenticates automatically by verifying the user's network location.

When this check cannot be completed  (due to a VPN, a different network, or a firewall rule), PRA falls back to a manual username prompt.

Solution

• Enter the Predict! username when prompted.
• Click OK or press Enter.
• PRA proceeds with login.

Note: If the login still fails after entering the username, escalate to IT support.

Troubleshooting

• Firewall rules may be blocking the IP verification request to the PRC server. IT support should check whether the server URL and port (typically 443) are accessible.
• Users on a different network segment or WAN may consistently see this prompt. This is expected behaviour — manual username entry is the fallback.
• If the username is entered correctly but login still fails, refer to Article: Predict! Risk Analyser — Login Popup Appears Despite Active Session, which may indicate a username mismatch.
