Crash on Launch

Cause:

1. Your computer may be missing one of NVivo components, the .NET Framework. 
   

Our Tech Resource Center can provide you with the version used in your version of NVivo.

2. You may have an older Visual C++ Redistributable version installed.

3. Your antivirus/security software may be blocking NVivo.

4. The installation could be corrupted.

Solution:

1. The .NET Framework can be downloaded from the Microsoft links below associated to the version of NVivo Windows.

2. Visual C++ Redistributable can be downloaded from the Latest Supported Redistributable version ((Note: You need to download the X64 version) ) section in  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

3. Turn off/disable your antivirus/security software temporarily and then launch NVivo.

4. Uninstall NVivo and reinstall your NVivo software via the Download Apps section my.lumivero.com (Download NVivo 15 if you are using an NVivo 15 license. Click the Older Versions section if you are on an older license)
