6 Tips for Time Reporting

1. Start and End Time are Optional 

If your program director isn't requiring you to enter a start time on all your time records, than neither are we. In Month and Track view, you can just enter an amount of time in the duration field.

This is easiest in the Track View. Once you fill in the pre-selects (Track, Program, Site and Supervisor), all you need to do is enter time in the duration field -- which is right there on the main screen.

2.  1254p = 12:54 PM

If your session started at 12:54 P.M., you can type 1254p in the start field and then click enter or tab. The system will interpret this correctly as 12:54 P.M. 

3. Using Decimels

You can use .25 for a quarter-hour, .5 for a half .75 for three-quarters of an hour.

In the Track View, you can also enter decimals in the duration field and the system will translate it into hours and minutes.

.01	1 minute
.05	3 minutes
.10	6 minutes
.25	15 minutes
.50	30 minutes
.75	45 minutes
1.00	1 hour

 

4. Total Minutes

65 = 1 hour and 5 minutes 

In any view, if you enter the total minutes in the duration field, the system will translate this into hours and minutes for you. 

5. Can Use Exact Time

If you want to record the current time, you can click the small clock icon to the right of Start and End Time. The system will automatically enter the current time for you.

6. Pre-Selects

In each view, you will see a series of pre-selects at the top of the screen:

• Track
• Program
• Site
• Field Instructor/Supervisor
• Tags

NOTE:

Whatever choices you make here will be applied to any timesheet entries you add.

The tags you have to choose from will be created by your program administrator, so you can reach out to them if you would like to request any additional tags.
