Form fields typically become locked after signatures are applied. To ensure data integrity across completed forms, these fields cannot be edited until signatures are removed.

Edit a Signed Form

1. Confirm the appropriate permission is assigned (Class Functions role required to revoke signatures).
2. Select the green checkmark  icon on the student’s completed assignment.
3. Click Completed.
4. Select the applicable option:
   • Remove My Approval: displayed if the assignment was approved by the current user
   • Re-Open Assignment: displayed if reviewed by another user
   • Undo Change to Complete: displayed if the assignment was force completed

What Happens Next

• Removing completion status clears all signatures from the form.
• The assignment returns to the first signer in the workflow sequence.
  • For example: For a signature order of Student → Supervisor, reopening routes the form back to the student for signature before progressing to the supervisor.
• All required signatures must be reapplied after edits are completed.

Troubleshooting

• No option to reopen or remove approval
  • Verify the Class Functions role is assigned.
• Form does not return to the user who needs to make edits
  • Confirm the configured signature order for the form.
• Edits still not allowed after reopening
  • Ensure all signatures have been removed and the assignment is no longer marked complete.
• Some fields can be edited, but others remain locked

  • This may be caused by form logic restricting certain fields. Contact our Services Team for further review.
