Concurrent Network license certificates

Activatable licenses

Problem Statement:

Why does my perpetual license expire in a month?

Certificate (license file) licenses:

• When you're setting up your Concurrent Network on a new server, we issue a 30-day certificate.
  • This gives you time to make sure that it works on the new server, and to migrate end users to the new server if necessary.
  • Once you have verified everything is working as expected, contact us by logging into the Lumivero Community Home Page and clicking on the Submit a Case button to fill out a form for requesting assistance. We'll issue a production certificate for the same server.
  • When you upgrade between major versions, we issue a 30-day license for the old version, combined with a production certificate for the new version.
    • This lets you migrate end users to the new server during the 30 days, with no need to get a new production license from us at the end of the migration period.

Activation IDs for activatable licenses:

• When you're moving an existing Concurrent Network on a new server, we can issue a 30-day Activation ID on request.
  • This gives you time to make sure that it works on the new server, and to migrate end users to the new server if necessary.
  • Within the 30 days, you can deactivate the old production license and receive a new one.
• When you upgrade products, such as @RISK to the DecisionTools Suite or StatTools Professional to StatTools Industrial, you start with a 30-day license.
  • Within the 30 days, you can upgrade all the clients and deactivate the old product license so that we can issue your production license for the new product.
• When you upgrade between major versions, you start with a 30-day license, just like upgrading products.

How can I tell when my current certificate or Activation ID will expire? What does the renewal cost?

The expiration date is included in the email with your certificate or Activation ID, shown in Server Manager, and listed in the license file (view only—do not edit).

If the 30 days are nearly over, we’ll contact you to gather a few details and then issue your production license, usually within hours. Installing the new concurrent license takes under five minutes, and there’s no charge for either the 30-day or production license.
