Keeping DTS Add-Ins Active in Excel

DTS add-ins (@RISK, StatTools, PrecisionTree, etc.) should not be kept active in Excel. 

• Making them active can prevent the software from running correctly.

• It’s normal for DTS add-ins to appear as Inactive in Excel’s Add-ins list even when running.

• Launch the software from its desktop icon or Start Menu

  • It will open Excel as needed.

• Only make them active if you want the software to open automatically every time Excel starts.

• If any add-ins are listed as Disabled, use Excel’s Manage control to re-enable them.
