Problem

When attempting to create a new Word document, you receive the following VBA error:

As a result of this error, the Citavi Word Add-In no longer works.

Cause

Every Word document uses the Word default template Normal.dotm. This error can occur when the Normal.dotm template is replaced (for example by a company template) and another project name is used instead of "Normal".

Solution

1. Open the customized .dotm file. You can find the file in the folder C:\Users\[User name]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates
2. Press Alt + F11
3. Right-click the project name.
4. Click Project Properties .
5. In the Project Name field, enter  Normal.
6. Save the template.
