Searching for a Placement

Overview
You may be able to view the number of available openings a site has for students in your program and/or classification.

These openings typically reflect the average number of students a site will accept for an academic period. When compiling your preferred sites list, the Max Openings value shows how many openings the site has specified.

How openings are used

Students use the Max Openings values when selecting or ranking preferred sites to understand typical capacity.
Administrators and coordinators reference openings to guide matching, allocation, and communication with sites.
Opening counts are informational averages and may not guarantee placement availability for a specific term.

When you can view site openings
You will only be able to view site openings if all of the following are true:

The program is using the Site Openings tool.
The program requires submission of a site preference list as part of the placement process.
The site has specified a number of openings for your program and/or your classification.
