Ranking Tasks by Correlation Coefficients in @RISK Sensitivity Analysis

 

Overview

Tornado graphs display a ranking of input distributions (tasks) based on their impact on the output. The inputs with the largest impact have the longest bars in the graph. By default, these bars are based on regression coefficients.

If you need the coefficients as numbers, they are available automatically in Quick Reports and in the Sensitivity report.

Ranking by Correlation Coefficients

To rank inputs by correlation coefficients instead of regression coefficients, you have two options:

1. Generate the Sensitivity Report

1. In the Results window, click Results » Report Settings.

2. Select Sensitivities.

3. Click Generate Reports Now.

The report will display two sets of tables:

• The left-hand tables show the ranking using regression coefficients.

• The right-hand tables show the ranking using correlation coefficients.

2. Use the Sensitivity Analysis Window

1. In the Results window, click Insert » Sensitivities.

2. In the Sensitivity Analysis window, use the drop-down list to select the calculation method used to rank the tasks. You can choose correlation coefficient instead of regression coefficient.
