McAfee EndPoint Security prevents Word from starting correctly when the Citavi Word Add-In is active.

We have notified McAfee of the false positive alarm several times without receiving a response so far.

Until McAfee improves its checking routines, two rules need to be disabled in McAfee EndPoint Security.

1. In the McAfee EndPoint Security main window click Threat Prevention .

2. Click Show Advanced .

3. Scroll down to the Exploit Prevention section and further to Signatures . Enter Word in the Quick find field. Two rules are displayed for which the check mark under Block needs to be removed: 3754 and 3821.
