Create a note, task, or message directly from a record to link communications to the original context. Drag the Related Record icon into the workspace, then choose Message, Task, or Note.

Overview

When you're working on a client or clinical document, you may want to make a note to yourself, create a "To Do," or ask someone a question. You're able to compose a note, task, or message from the record itself, and this will link it so when you review the communication later you'll have a shortcut back to the original context.

Create a New Communication from a Related Record

Review the types of records you can attach to a communication

and the environments they’re available from.

To attach a communication to a record:

Open the relevant record (clinical document or client details tab).

Click the envelope icon to open the Communication Hub dropdown.

Click and hold the Related record icon and drag it onto the workspace.

Highlighted areas in yellow indicate attachable records; when it turns blue, release.

Choose to compose a Message, Task, or Note.

The selected communication type opens with the related record pre-linked—compose and send as needed.
