Overview

Once you have built all of the assignments you will need in a class template, you can copy them to any class, class template, or cohort in your Groups table in Experiential Learning Cloud. Assignments should always be copied from a template to other classes so that the template can remain untouched. This will allow you to continuously edit your template and re-use it for future terms.

How to Copy Assignments

1. Build assignments in your class template via the "assignments" tab.
2. When you have all the assignments in your Class Template set up, ensure that you have created the classes to which the assignments will be copied.
3. Once the classes have been created, you can copy all of the assignments in your template to the classes you plan on using for the semester.
4. Re-open the template and Select the Copy to other Classes/Groups button.

5. A menu will appear for you to select which classes you want to copy your assignments to. NOTE: You will need to create these classes beforehand in order for them to appear in the dropdown menu.

6. When you have all classes selected, click the Copy assignments button.
7. If any of the assignments in the class template are set up to be reviewed by the instructor of the template, you will need to give an instructor supervision over the course you are copying the assignments to so that they can be substituted as the reviewer of those assignments for their class.
   • You will be prompted to confirm that the instructor of the class the assignments are being copied to should be the reviewer of the assignments. If multiple instructors supervise the class the assignments are being copied to, you will be able to choose between their names.
8. If any of the assignments in the class template are set up to be reviewed by a group reviewer, that group reviewer will remain the reviewer on the assignments in the new class.

All classes which have assignments copied from the same class template will be visible to program administrators together in the assignments grid when the class template is selected from the classes dropdown!
