Error: "Automation error: The remote procedure call failed."

 

Causes and Solutions:

1. Software not installed with full administrative rights.

   1. Right-click the installer and select Run as administrator.

   2. If you are prompted to modify, repair, or remove; select Repair.

2. DEP settings

   1. If you have release 7.5.1 or older, please see Data Execution Prevention.

   2. Work through section A, and section B (if necessary)

3. Orphaned entries in the COM Type Library in the System Registry.
