Embedding Overlay Graphs with RiskResultsGraph()

You can embed overlay graphs in your worksheet using the RiskResultsGraph() function.

These graphs update automatically when a simulation runs and are saved with your workbook, even if simulation results aren’t stored.

Creating Overlaid Graphs

Combine multiple distributions by defining a contiguous output range with a common name.
If data is scattered across the worksheet(s), create a contiguous range linked to the actual cells, then designate it as an @RISK output (the example uses four ranges in column C).

Notes on the Example

RiskResultsGraph() formulas are hidden behind graphs. To view them, delete the graphs, use Excel search for RiskResultsGraph, or press F5 → Go To → enter F3, O3, F24, or O24.
Four graphs illustrate possible formats; Graphs 1 and 4 are histograms (probability density vs. relative frequency).
Graph titles default but can be customized (see cell F3 in the example).
The arguments in RiskOutput (C3:C14) define the output range; note the comma after the opening parenthesis.
INDIRECT() in C3:C14 allows generalization via worksheet names in cells but disables Smart Sensitivity Analysis. For specific models, use plain cell references (e.g., =Sheet11!C45) and disable Smart Sensitivity Analysis in Simulation Settings → Sampling if needed.

An alternative is available in @RISK Professional and Industrial releases 6.2 and newer, if you're willing to use Visual Basic for Applications. The GraphDistribution method takes an Array-type argument that lets you specify non-contiguous cells for overlays. The Automation Guide, in the Help » Developer Kit (XDK) menu, introduces you to VBA programming and gives a couple of examples of that function; complete documentation is in the @RISK XDK Reference in the same menu.
