XLSTAT: Deactivate your license key

 

Background

Deactivating a license can be useful in the following cases:

• Formatting or re-installing your computer

• Transferring your license to a new computer

• Activating a new license while another one is still activated

 

Deactivate your license from XLSTAT

• Open XLSTAT.

• Click on the  About XLSTAT button in the XLSTAT ribbon. A new window appears.

 

Without logging out of your MyLumivero account

• Click on the Deactivate button. Confirm that you wish to deactivate your license.

 

Logging out of your MyLumivero account 

• Click on the Sign out button which will also deactivate your license. A message confirms you that you are disconnected.

Your license should now be deactivated and your XLSTAT version back to Free.

Deactivate your license from MyLumivero

If you no longer have access to the computer where your license is activated, you can deactivate it remotely through your MyLumivero account:

• Log in to your MyLumivero account.

• Locate the corresponding license key under My Licenses. If the license key is activated, you will be able to select the Manage activation option

• In the window that opens, you will see the current activations for your license key. From there, you can choose to deactivate it.

• Once the activation no longer appears in the list, it has been successfully revoked.

 

Deactivate your license manually/offline

If your computer is not connected to the Internet or if a restrictive firewall filters the request ,the automatic deactivation may fail.  If this happens, the dialog box below appears on your screen:

​To deactivate your license in this case, you will need to proceed with a manual deactivation.

This process requires a computer with an Internet access but it doesn't have to be the same computer that you want to install XLSTAT on.

Step 1: Proceed according to your situation:

• If your computer is connected to the Internet, follow this link on your internet browser.

• Otherwise, open the link on a computer with an internet access.

Step 2 : Copy the deactivation code from the manual deactivation window to the web deactivation form.

Step 3 : You should be able to see the message below, informing you about the deactivation success.

Step 4 : On the manual deactivation window in the XLSTAT interface, you can now click on Done . Only do so if you have gotten the message pictured in Step 3. If you did not, please try copying the code again to the webpage before continuing.

Step 5:  Your license is now successfully deactivated.
