Full Disk Access permission is a privacy feature introduced in macOS Mojave (10.14) that prevents some applications from accessing various folders on your hard drive. It exists in MacOS versions moving forward.
This feature requires that you manually grant permission for certain applications to access these protected areas of your Mac.
In earlier versions of macOS (10.13 and lower), this permission was automatically granted during the installation of NVivo.

NVivo requires full access to write to specific folders on the computer so that it can operate.

Providing full disk access does not mean that we will have access to your data. We can only access your data when you specifically share it with us.

NVivo needs access to your project files, as well as any documents or other files that you are importing into your NVivo project. NVivo also needs access to the following locations:

/users/<<username>>/Library/Preferences/

/users/<<username>>/Library/Application Support/

/users/<<username>>/Library/Logs/

/users/<<username>>/Library/Caches/
