Filter Topics By Topics is a method for filtering specific topics in a Multi-Topic Question (Single Choice Grid Question), according to answers selected in topics of another Multi-Topic question.

Filtering Steps Example:

1. Create two Multi-Topic Questions.
   1. The first question should have 4 topics, each one with an answer ‘true’ or ‘false’:
   2. The second question (with the same number of topics) has a different set of answers.
      1. In this example, Question 2 will be filtered according to question 1.

Script

Add the following script in the start script of question 2:
FilterTopicsByTopics(CurrQues,1,1);

1^st Parameter: The Target Question.

2^nd Parameter: The Source Question.
3^rd Parameter: Index’s of answers from the source question. (Can add several values and separate them with a comma)

Result

The result of this script is that the survey will only show future topics that their corresponding topics in question 1, were answered with ‘true’.

Example:

IF, in question 1, the user answered ‘true’ for topics 2 and 4:
In question 2, the user will only get only topics 2 and 4:

If you wish to show topics that were NOT answered with the values you specified, you can change the script to the one below:

FilterTopicsByTopics(CurrQues,false,1,1);
1^st Parameter: Target Question.
2^nd Parameter: ‘false’ for doing the negative function.
3^rd Parameter: Source Question.
4^th Parameter: Index’s of answers from the source question. (Can add several values and separate them with a comma)
