How to Auto-Select a Quota Based on the Least Filled Quota

Overview

In some surveys, the questionnaire needs to behave dynamically based on the current field sample. Since the field sample is controlled by the quota system, survey logic can be configured to select or prioritize quotas based on their current progress.

This technique allows you to automatically choose the quota with the largest remaining gap between its target and its current completed count.

The logic can be implemented using either a Single Choice question or a Multiple Selection question.

Using a Single Choice Question

The attached Single Choice sample demonstrates how to randomly select one quota from the quotas that are currently least filled.

In this case, “least filled” refers to the quota with the largest difference between its target value and its current value.

Using a Multiple Selection Question

The attached Multiple Selection sample demonstrates how to randomly select up to 3 colors based on the least filled quotas.
