Publishing a Story to a Directory

Overview

Publishing a story to a Directory in SharpCloud allows you to make it accessible to a wider audience within your organization. Directories act as shared spaces where users can discover and access relevant stories.

Publishing is managed through the Share dialog, where authorized users can select one or more directories for distribution.

Pre-requisites

To publish a story to a directory, you must be an authorized publisher. This can be granted via:

• Membership in an authorized team, or

• Directory publishing settings configured by an administrator

If you are not authorized, the publish option will not be available.

How to Publish a Story

1. Open your story

2. Click the blue “Share” button in the top-right corner

1. In the Share dialog, navigate to the Publish tab

2. Review the list of available directories

3. Select Publish next to the directory (or directories) you want

4. Confirm your selection

Once published, the story becomes available within the selected directory locations.

Managing Directory Publishing

• You can publish to multiple directories if required

• Directory availability depends on your permissions and organizational setup

• Publishing does not change editing permissions—it only controls visibility and access location

Notes

• Only authorized users can publish to directories

• Publishing is performed via the Share dialog → Publish tab

• Directories listed are based on your access rights
