Panel and Item Colour Settings in SharpCloud

Overview

SharpCloud provides flexible options to control colours across panels and items, helping you maintain consistency or highlight specific elements within your story.

Setting the Panel Colour Globally

By default, all item panels are white. You can change this globally using the Panel Colour setting in Story Setup.

Options include:

• Setting a custom default colour for all panels
• Matching panel colour to the item’s category colour

You can still override panel colours:

• Across all items
• On an item-by-item basis

Further customization options are available in the Configuring Item Panels and Panel Content settings.

Setting a Custom Colour for an Item

By default, items inherit the colour of their category. However, each item is also assigned a random colour that can be used in views.

To use item-specific colours:

• Select Item Color in Background Color or Border Color settings within a view

You can edit item colours in the Edit Item Properties panel:

• Change colours for individual items
• Multi-select items to apply the same colour to a group

This can be useful for highlighting specific items. For example, assigning a common colour to most items allows a single item with a different colour to stand out clearly across views.
