Monitoring Details

To view the current users of the @RISK/DTS license, open the Server Manager and click on the Status button on the right.

Scroll down in the upper white box to see the current license usage.  This will display the users that are connected.   

The information included is:

• Time their session began
• Host name of the machine
• OS information
• Device Username.

For historical usage data, you can view the log file from the server. The logs are located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Palisade\NetServer\logs.

"Floating license request successful for IP address:"  indicates the date/time of the start of a session from a device.

"Floating license drop request from IP address:" and "Floating license dropped successfully for IP address:" indicate the time that a session has ended.  

The Server Manager logs a new request and successful renewal every minute as long as the session is active.

The INF Client Id is a unique code for each for each session. 

A user will get a new unique INF Client Id if they close and then reopen @RISK. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The default number of files available to be saved in to the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Palisade\NetServer\logs is set as 10.

• This can be updated by editing the config.yml file located in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Palisade\NetServer.
