Risk and Action Lists Not Loading Fully

Issue:

The Predict! Risk Controller service is running, and the login screen is accessible, but risk lists, action lists, or other data views load slowly or fail to load completely.

Cause:

This is typically a performance configuration issue that can be resolved by increasing thread and connection limits in the WildFly and Apache configuration files.

Note: Thorough testing is required to determine optimal values for each environment.

The values below are recommended starting points that suit most installations.

Solution

3 changes should be made to address this issue.

Change 1 — Increase max connections in standalone.xml

• Open: C:\prc6\WF26\standalone\configuration\standalone.xml in a text editor.
• Locate the AJP-Listener element within the default server subsystem.
• Add the attribute: max-connections="200" to the AJP-Listener element.
• Save the file.

Change 2 — Increase task threads in standalone.xml

• In the same standalone.xml file, locate the subsystem element for urn:jboss:domain:io.
• Find the worker element within it.
• Add the attribute: task-max-threads="200" to the worker element.
• Save the file.

Change 3 — Increase threads in Apache httpd.conf

• Open: \prc6\Apache24\conf\httpd.conf in a text editor.
• Locate the MPM (Multi-Processing Module) settings section.
• Add or update the value: ThreadsPerChild 200
• Save the file.

Apply the changes

• Restart the Apache service.
• Restart the Predict! (WildFly) service.
• Test by loading risk and action lists to confirm the improvement.

Troubleshooting

• If performance does not improve after these changes:
  •  review the server specification against the Predict! 6 System Requirements document.
    • The server may need additional RAM or CPU resources.
