Applies to:

NVivo 13 (2020 R1) and NVivo 14

 

Causes:

Internet connectivity issues and security software blocking the download.

 

Solutions:

Restart your computer, temporarily disable your security software and try to download the converter plugin again.

If the issue persists, install the converter manually:

1. Download the ‘ExtractConverter’ file and save it to a folder like your Documents folder or Desktop:
   https://download.qsrinternational.com/Software/PlugIn/WinMacConverter4/ExtractConverter.exe

2. Download the Project Converter zip file and save it to the same folder as above: 
   https://download.qsrinternational.com/Software/PlugIn/WinMacConverter4/QSR.Tools.ProjectConverter.zip

3. Right click on QSR.Tools.ProjectConverter.zip file and select Properties.

4. At the bottom of the properties window, make sure the block option is disabled.

5. Double click on ExtractConverter.exe and wait for the installation process to complete.

   1. You will notice a black command window popup.

The command window should disappear after the project converter has been installed successfully.
