In the upper right corner of the form builder tool, you will find even more options to help you manage and customize your forms to meet your unique needs.

1. Add Items: By clicking this option, you will bring up the Forms Toolbar menu, which will allow you to add items to your form.
2. Configure:This option allows you to edit various settings within a form's view. One form can have multiple versions, called "views" but it's best practice to only have one effective view in place at a time.
   • View name: You can change the currently selected view name. The most common name of a view will be Online.
   • Start in paged view: Select this option to display the form in a paged view instead of a continuous form. NOTE: To do this, you will have to add headers using the "Make part of Table of Contents" function. CAUTION: Some users find it tedious to page through multiple pages of a form when completing it online.
   • Print view: Allows users to create a .pdf version of the form they can print out. Always make sure to select this option on the only active view.
   • Default: Only used when a form has multiple views. This specifies which view is to be printed. Always select this option, even when there is only one view.
   • Mobile view: Specifies the view that will appear to users in the mobile version of the app. If this option is left unchecked, mobile users will default to the regular view.
   • Minimum screen width: Default is 0. Not typically needed to change.
   • Effective date: Specifies a date when a view will become active. This will occur at midnight of the day you specify. Use this when you are making changes to a view that has been used.
   • Ineffective date: Specifies a date on which a view will no longer be used for new form instances. This will occur at 11:59pm of the day you specify. Use this when you are making changes to a view that has been used.
3. Styles: Here you can set standard fonts and formatting for headers, labels, and body text throughout your form. Pre-selected settings can be saved here to use as a setting.
   • Heading: A text or informational field. The user does not fill anything out here, it is simply a text field.  Create a default heading format here to apply that style to any headings in your  form.
   • Label: The label on a node is the prompt the user will see when filling out a form. This setting applies formatting to all labels of all nodes in a form. Labels will default to bold, but you can come to this space to adjust that setting.
   • Body: "Body" is another term for the "answer" space, like a text box, dropdown list, etc. when completing a form. This setting allows you to define the standard formatting according to which users’ responses will appear.
4. Logic: Here you can add various forms of logic to make the form “smarter”. Click the plus icon on the left to add logic.

5. Custom PDF Template: This option allows you to upload a custom PDF as the print view for your form. We do not recommend that Experiential Learning Cloud customers use this option.
