Background:

The DTS software uses the Microsoft Visual Basic 6 Runtime

Installing Skype Email Toolbar Beta in 64-bit Windows corrupts this component.

• Skype's toolbar install overwrites some information that the VB6 install places in the System Registry.

 

Solutions:

Caution: Before any procedure that modifies the System Registry, you should make sure that your system has been backed up.

Method 1:

• Download the attached batch file to your desktop.
• Right-click it and select Run As Administrator.

Method 2:

• Open a command prompt as administrator, and execute this command:
  • regsvr32 %windir%\SysWOW64\msvbvm60.dll

If the process succeeds you will see the message: "DllRegisterServer in c:\Windows\SysWOW64\msvbvm60.dll succeeded."

IMPORTANT: We recommend uninstalling the Skype toolbar.  The main Skype program can remain in use.
