Problem
You want to use Citavi in a dark design (dark mode) but can't find an option for it.

Cause
Citavi currently does not offer its own dark mode — neither in Citavi for Windows, Citavi Web, nor the Citavi Word Add-In. Citavi also does not automatically adopt Windows' dark mode.

Note for users of Microsoft Word in Dark Mode
If you use Microsoft Word in dark mode, some labels in the Citavi Word Add-In may appear white on a white background, making them unreadable. Citavi is not compatible with Word's dark mode.

To fix this:

In Word, go to File > Account > Office Theme and select "White" or "Colorful."
Additionally, in Windows Settings, go to Personalization > Colors and set the mode to "Light."
