NVivo for Mac and Other Languages

 

Background:

NVivo for Mac lets you work with Unicode data, which means you can work with data in virtually any language.  NVivo for Mac can also handle symbol and character based languages such as Japanese, Mandarin and Cantonese.

NVivo for Mac is localized in English, French, German, and Spanish (Mexico).  NVivo will automatically switch to the language set under your Mac 'Language and Text’ preferences at launch time.

If the first language in the `Language and Text` list isn't one of the languages NVivo is localized in, NVivo will attempt to use the next available language in the list. If none of the languages in the list match NVivo’s localized languages, NVivo will continue to operate in English.

Note: If you want to display the user interface in Spanish, make sure that Spanish (Mexico) is included in the list and is above any of the other user interface languages supported by NVivo.
