@RISK: CPUs Used by the software

CPU Usage in @RISK and RISKOptimizer @RISK automatically uses one or more CPUs to complete simulations efficiently: Industrial: 1 to all cores Professional/Standard: up to 2 cores RISKOptimizer 7.5: multiple cores for parallel optimization RISKOptimizer 7.0 and Project simulations: single CPU Controlling CPU Usage @RISK 7.5+: Simulation Settings → General → Multiple CPU Support: Automatic: @RISK decides optimal cores Enabled: specify number of cores Disabled: use 1 core @RISK 7.0: define workbook-level name RiskUseMultipleCores (number, all, off, or auto) Physical cores give the largest speed gains; hyperthreading provides modest improvements. Excel multithreading is separate and should be enabled for faster simulations. Registry and old Excel name settings are ignored in 7.5+.
