XLSTAT: Choose Where to Display the Results in Excel

 

Background

When you run an analysis with XLSTAT, you can choose where the report containing the results of this analysis will be generated.
Three options are available:

• Custom: the results are displayed starting from a cell manually selected.

• Sheet: the results are displayed on a new Excel sheet in the current workbook (XLSTAT will give the name of the method to the results sheet. For example, if you are running a PCA, the results sheet is named "PCA". If a PCA sheet is already present in the workbook, XLSTAT will name the sheet "PCAx", where x is the first integer greater than 1 such that the "PCAx" sheet does not exist in the workbook yet).

• Workbook: the results are displayed on a new workbook created by XLSTAT (recommended if you are analyzing large volumes of data).

 

Whichever option you choose, you can access its configuration in two ways:

• Through XLSTAT Options (first option).

• Directly from the analysis you want to run (second option).

 

Setting up

First Option

• Go to the XLSTAT Menu and select Options.
  
  

• The XLSTAT Options dialog box appears.

• In the Outputs tab, select the Report sub-tab.

• Choose the output location.
  
  
  
  
• Save the configuration for it to be applied to your next analysis.

 

Second option:

• Open an XLSTAT feature.

• Click on the gear wheel at the bottom left of the feature window (here is an example from a PCA analysis).

• Save the configuration for it to be applied to your next analysis.

 

Advanced output location:

In addition to choosing the report location, the position of the results sheet can also be configured from the same menu:

• The 4 options available are:

  • First sheet in the workbook: XLSTAT inserts the results sheet at the beginning

  • Last sheet in the workbook: XLSTAT inserts the results sheet at the end

  • Left to the data sheet: XLSTAT inserts the results sheet TO THE LEFT of the sheet containing the data.

  • Right to the data sheet: XLSTAT inserts the results sheet TO THE RIGHT of the sheet containing the data.

• Save the configuration for it to be applied to your next analysis.
